A New Character: Millie

A New Character: Millie

*Author’s Note:  Millie is a fictitious character, that I am developing for future use.

“Computer give me a list of things to do before this weekend,” Millie said as she spoke into her portable device’s mouth piece.

Computer:  1. Choose from 50 sample earrings, which four or five to stock in your store.  2. Send your sister-in-law a nice birthday card.  3. Ask someone to replace the light bulb in your front porch.  4. Practice your singing voice (just for fun).  5. Play with your dogs, make sure that they’re warm enough.  6. Pray and be thankful for all of your blessings.

Millie said, “Computer, repeat this list to me tomorrow at noon.”

Millie is the proprietor of Millie’s Boutique and her inventory is very much indicative of her good taste in just about everything.  She does her inventory searches using the best catalogs that are sent to her, from around the world.  Millie is also very personable.  She loves giving thank you notes.

Millie learned early on, how to play the piano.  She searches the Internet for printable sheet music to challenge her piano skills.  When she was younger, she also developed some cooking skills.  She doesn’t remember too much of those skills now, except perhaps, how to cook spaghetti.  Millie had always wanted to make a difference in people’s lives, but taking care of herself these days, was challenging enough.

Her Christmas gift to everyone this year, is boxes of chocolate.  She wished that she had the time to be more creative in her gift giving, but the boutique had been her number one priority.
